A beautiful couple and a beautiful day

I just finished editing some engagement shots of a couple who is getting married this summer. It was a BEAUTIFUL day at Neale Woods, if a little chilly out. Thank goodness Photoshop can help with pink noses!

As much as I love shooting there, I don't know if I can pull it off again. As we were leaving, we were casually asked by a member of the staff what we were up to. I played it off, like I assumed it was all cool: "We just finished the most amazing photo shoot! Thanks for keeping this place looking so beautiful. Have a nice day!" But I don't think he was impressed.

I love the pictures, though. :)

It was a crazy busy day today. I got a lot done though, and that always feels good!

On my list: Sending that sales tax money I've been collecting back to the state. Not fun for me, as my talents are more in photography than accounting.

But I did get to meet a sweet couple, Sarah and Kevin. They have been engaged for a while now, and as their May date is approaching fast, they are honing in on the details. Like me. :) I hope to hear back from them soon.

I got a couple of pics for senior guys finished up, too, which is good, so I can start to work on their albums!

New Studio!!!

I just finished editing a wedding for a great couple, Anna and Brad. The day was absolutely gorgeous. We spent the earlier part of the day in the north downtown area, near Slowdown and Urban Outfitters. There were so many great photo ops there, I was on cloud nine!

Busy, busy BUSY!!!

Despite the downturned economy, I've managed to stay very busy this summer. Busy enough, in fact, to hire an assistant to help with editing. Now I can devote more time to taking images, the part I like more.

My daughter has started kindergarten, and the mother of a classmate I've gotten to know is also a photog. It's fun to meet with other photogs and toss ideas around. And admittedly, she is the one who re-inspired me to get my blog going again. :)

Anyway, here are a few shots of a cute baby girl I shot a couple of weeks ago.

These are some friends of mine. We did both a maternity shoot and a shoot of their little girl, who is just adorable. We ended up having dinner together, and between my kids and their little girl, it was a combination of shoot pics, eat, shoot pics, change diaper, shoot some more pics. But that's what's great about having my studio in my home. We can take the time we need to take to get the great shots.

I just finished editing pics of two little girls. They were so sweet. Their mom was great with them, too. It's always nice to see a happy little fam.

Today I'm heading out to shoot a wedding -- the first of the season! I'm so excited.

Busy, busy

It's not been for lack of shoots that I haven't posted. Things have been really busy the past few weeks. Here is a recent shoot of a cute, cute, cute little girl. I have a pic from her six month shoot on my homepage. She is now a year old. Kids grow so fast. Which is exactly why you should have their pictures taken. :)

A bride from last fall ordered one of my AuskaBooks, and I have just placed the order. I think it turned out really well.

What I love about the books is the ability to custom make each one based on the favorites of the bride and groom. Quotes, readings, whatever can be added to make it really tell the story of the day. No 'drag and drop' cliche templates.

Baby Braxton

Braxton is another adorable baby I've gotten to see grow up since he was a newborn. Can you believe those eyes? He is such a happy baby. And his family is always such fun to work with. You can see what joy Braxton brings to them.

Here Braxton is crawling next to 'Roar-y,' a gift he received as a, well, baby. :) I LOVE when clients bring their own personal touches!

What a cutie! I've seen Jax twice now, and he was a good baby during his second shoot, too.
I think the hat was a cute addition. And I love the picture of Jax and his dad playing. What a sweetie!
